Job Title: Podcast Editor (Virtual Assistant)

Job Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Podcast Editor VA to handle post-production for our podcast, ensuring each episode is polished, professional, and ready for publishing.
Responsibilities
Edit raw audio recordings: remove dead air, filler words, mistakes, and background noise
Balance and normalize audio levels for consistent sound quality
Add intro/outro music, transitions, and sound effects per show template
Export final files in required formats and naming conventions
Generate episode show notes, timestamps, and basic transcripts (if applicable)
Upload finished episodes to hosting platform
Flag any audio issues or inconsistencies to the host before final delivery
Maintain organized file storage and version control
Required Tools/Software
Audio and Video editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Descript, GarageBand or similar)
Podcast hosting platform experience (Spotify for Podcasters, Buzzsprout, or similar)
Cloud storage/file sharing (Google Drive or Dropbox)
Project management tool (Trello, Asana, or similar) for task tracking
Requirements
Proven experience editing podcasts (provide samples/portfolio)
Strong attention to detail and ear for audio quality
Ability to meet weekly deadlines consistently
Good written communication for status updates and notes
Nice to Have
Experience with show notes/SEO descriptions
Familiarity with multiple hosting platforms
Basic graphic design skills for episode cover art
