Junior Software Engineer (TEM)

Memphis, TN (hybrid-remote: 3 days onsite per week)

6 months (should be extended, work orders are issued in six-month increments)

• The Software Engineer supports a suite of transaction-heavy, event-driven applications responsible for processing purchases, payments, user activity, and related data flows. These systems span APIs, backend services, frontend applications, and databases, providing opportunities to gain experience across multiple technologies and business processes.
• This role contributes to the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of full-stack solutions using .NET, React, and SQL Server. Responsibilities include developing features and enhancements, supporting APIs and integrations, troubleshooting application and data issues, assisting with testing and validation activities, and maintaining reliable production systems.
• Engineers in this role work closely with teammates, business partners, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The position offers exposure to both legacy and modern technologies while supporting ongoing modernization efforts and continuous improvement of development practices. Success in this role requires curiosity, attention to detail, effective communication, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate is comfortable tackling technical challenges, seeking guidance when needed, and continuously expanding their skills and knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of experience developing and supporting web applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise software solutions.
• Working knowledge of .NET, C#, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL Server with a desire to build expertise through hands-on experience. Familiarity with Agile development practices is preferred.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, adapt to changing priorities, take ownership of assigned work, and continuously develop technical and professional skills.
