Job Description

We are looking for a reliable, professional, and personable Doorperson to join our team at a high-volume, bar-centric restaurant in SoHo.

The position is primarily scheduled:

• Friday: 5:30 PM–12:00 AM
• Saturday: 5:30 PM–12:00 AM
• Select Thursdays: 5:30 PM–12:00 AM

The Doorperson is an important part of creating a safe, welcoming, and well-organized experience for our guests. This position is primarily responsible for checking and validating IDs, monitoring the entrance, and helping manage the flow of guests during busy service.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and understands the importance of being both friendly and firm when enforcing our entry policies.

• Check and validate guest IDs in accordance with applicable laws and restaurant policies.
• Ensure IDs are valid, authentic, and belong to the individual presenting them.
• Confirm guests meet applicable age requirements before entry.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the entrance.
• Help manage guest flow during high-volume periods.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests regarding entry requirements.
• Coordinate with management and the FOH team regarding guest issues or concerns.
• Alert management to suspicious, altered, or questionable identification.
• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment at the entrance.
• Assist with crowd management when necessary.
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures consistently.
