Job Description

Diplomat Motors is looking for a motivated and experienced Automotive Contract Clerk to join our expanding operation. This role plays a pivotal part in our dealership's success — your expertise in processing contract-related paperwork for vehicle sales transactions keeps every deal moving smoothly, accurately, and on time.

We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to keep pace in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The right person will juggle multiple deals at once while bringing strong communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills to the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with automotive contract clerk experience — ideally from a consolidated Business Office — who is ready to take ownership of the contract process and grow within a results-driven dealership group.

Compensation:

$23 - $29 hourly

Responsibilities:

Contract Processing & Compliance

  • Process all vehicle contracts in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all required compliance documentation is included

  • Verify, process, and post transactions related to Vehicle Sales, Trade-In Units, and Dealer Trades

Funding & Payment Reconciliation

  • Daily review, follow-up, and posting of EFT contract funding, customer down payments, F&I reserve funding, lien payoffs, and flooring payments

  • Daily review, follow-up, and correction of schedules related to the contract process, including CIT, vehicle receivable, and lien payoff

Interdepartmental Coordination

  • Communicate weekly with the Controller on any pending issues related to contract posting

  • Perform other administrative and office support duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Automotive Contract Clerk experience preferred (automotive experience required)

  • Dealertrack experience is a plus

  • Ability to process DMV paperwork is a plus

  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay composed under pressure

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Friendly, helpful, professional, and dependable demeanor

  • Strong computer and internet skills, including Excel

  • High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred

  • Reliable attendance required

About Company
  • Two high-performing locations selling 140+ vehicles per month
  • Proven systems, strong leadership, and clear expectations
  • Performance-focused, no-drama culture
  • Expansion plans with real advancement opportunities

We value integrity, accountability, and people who show up ready to work.
