At Axis Digital Productions, we work with companies across the creative tech, games, aerospace, and robotics industries to visualize their innovative IP in ways that captivate both investors and future customers. Our clients are literally designing the future, and we bring their vision to life.

Axis Digital Productions is looking for a skilled animator to animate human and robotic armatures in Blender. A perfect candidate has at least 3-5 years of experience working in Blender, and at least as much experience animating a variety of assets. They must have a strong understanding of keying, the timeline, the dopesheet, actions, and the NLA editor to accomplish their tasks as well as how file/asset linking works between blender files. An ideal candidate can design and build their own armatures, add inverse kinematics properly, and apply various bone constraints and drivers to aid their work. This role is contract-based; however, we are looking for talented people we can add to our long-term staff. This position opens August 1st, 2026.

Axis Digital Productions utilizes traditional, hybrid, and AI powered production pipelines to deliver highly polished and curated work. Regardless of the process or tool, maintaining design authority is our key goal.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years working in Blender (minimum)
• 3-5 years of animation experience (minimum)
• An expert level knowledge of Blender overall
• A strong ability to animate based on reference footage
• You will be required to sign an NDA and work agreement. Strict confidentiality is required.

Bonuses. Let us know if:

• You have experience with physics simulations in Blender, both soft and rigid bodies.
• You have geometry node experience.
• You have camera and rendering experience
• You can model assets from scratch
• You can author new materials from scratch
• You have other software experience you wish to share (substance painter, unreal engine, adobe creative suite of tools, etc.)

• Include links to any relevant portfolio reels. Candidates that can demonstrate both humanoid and robotic animation will be strongly considered. Please describe which portions of the reel you were personally responsible for.

• Include your availability.
